"I'm a single mom of a teenager (age 15) and wish this had been around when he was younger. His dad skipped the country and he has no grandfathers either. Basically, no male role models period. Is this 'boys stuff' that I could do with him?"

"I've done a bunch of this stuff with my son (8) already! In this day and age, you don't have to be a male to build go karts or tie knots or make batteries. We have had so much fun with this book."

Hi,

I grew up as a reluctant reader. Now I write action-adventures & mysteries, especially for boys 8 and up, that kids hate to put down. My web site is at http://www.maxbooks.9k.com and my Books for Boys blog is at http://booksandboys.blogspot.com

Sounds wonderful! I have a 3 year old boy - and he is such a boy. He loves building, running, playing in the mud, to name a few. It is so much fun having a boy!

I can't wait to check this out!
I have an 11 year old son and he loves adventure and making things.
Our latest was going to Dinosaur Valley State Park to look for real arrow heads. We didn't find any, but we sure had fun.

Thank you for this blog. It's really a great idea.
